A hybrid app is a type of mobile application that combines the best of both worlds - the native functionality and user experience of a traditional app, with the cross-platform compatibility of a web app. A hybrid app is typically built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and then packaged inside of a native app wrapper. This allows the app to be distributed through app stores and accessed like any other native app. However, because the app is still essentially a web app, it can also be run in a web browser on any platform - making it much more accessible than a traditional native app, and usually only needing one code-base.
